最佳加入时机 · When to Start

Ideally begin 3 months before IVF

For the best outcome, we recommend starting fertility abdominal acupressure alongside your regular acupuncture protocol:

  • Pre-IVF (3 months out) — weekly sessions to regulate cycle & circulation
  • Stimulation phase — gentle support to ease bloating & follicle response
  • 1–2 days before transfer — maximize uterine receptivity
  • Post-transfer (2WW) — paused; switch to distal acupuncture only

FAQ

Common questions

Yes, when performed by a trained practitioner. We use gentle, appropriate pressure during the stimulation phase and pre-transfer period. We do not perform abdominal acupressure after embryo transfer during the two-week wait — only gentle acupuncture on safe distal points is used at that stage.
Fertility abdominal acupressure is not a general relaxation massage. It uses precise pressure on specific TCM acupoints and meridians on the abdomen that are clinically associated with reproductive health — including Conception Vessel, Stomach, Spleen, and Kidney meridian points. It is therapeutic and targeted, not cosmetic or relaxation-focused.
For IVF preparation, we typically recommend starting 6–12 weeks before your cycle begins, with weekly sessions. A minimum of 4–6 sessions is ideal to see meaningful changes in circulation and cycle regularity. Single sessions are also available for one-time preparation before transfer.
Absolutely — in fact, the combination is more powerful than either alone. Most patients receive acupuncture first, then abdominal acupressure in the same session. The acupuncture opens the meridians, and the abdominal work deepens the circulation effect and provides additional comfort and grounding.
We accept UnitedHealthcare (UHC) and Cigna, as well as HSA and FSA. Abdominal acupressure may be covered when combined with an acupuncture session — we verify your specific benefits for free before your first visit. Text your insurance card to 925-425-8010.
Yes. Dr. Bai is fully bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese (中英文双语). Many of our fertility patients prefer to discuss sensitive health matters in Chinese, and we warmly welcome that.
